My journey...

One day at a time.

The Riley Trail

10/15/2025

The Five Million Dollar Riley Literary Trail opened in Fall of 2025. I am pleased to have a panel along the trail at the intersections of N East St and North St next to Greenfield Christian Church, 23 N East St, Greenfield IN. Here is one painting that is on the panel. The trail is less than a mile long and treks through Depot Park, past the courthouse, up to North Street near the church, then west towards the Riley Home.

This beauty glanced back at me while I stood on the Rio Grande Gorge, NM with Leslie Newton.

Today I launched my Face book page, Sandy Hall Studio.  I wanted to get started on reaching more people via internet. I am trying to get into the rhythm of posting, creating and exhibiting for 2015. This one on the left was created after I saw a relief carving of a similar scene in the stacks at Rose Hulman University in Terre Haute. It measures 24"x36" and hangs in the Kenny Butler Soup Kitchen, bought by a friend and donated to that cause.

I enjoy teaching and spending time painting in my studio. On Tuesdays, a group of us meet at 9 am-noon to paint, critique, and talk. It is a fun group. Contact me if you are interested. It is sponsored by Hancock Co Arts, a non-profit organization that supports the creative activities in visual arts, music, dance, theater, and the literary arts.
