2003- Received Lilly Teacher Creativity $5500 Grant: Traveled to China in June of 2004 and created three inlaid glass panels using the technique called Meixia glass, in Xiamen, China and tour the historical sites around Beijing, plus spent a week in Korea. Introduced Asian studies in art curriculum.
